Who's There?
"Who's There?" is an interactive installation that immerses the viewer in the perspective that many immigrants have faced during the last decade, where predominantly Latino neighborhoods face mass deportations. The objective of this experience is not only to illustrate the experience but most importantly to offer a guide on basic human rights for those that are vulnerable to deportation.
Along with the sound and video playing through the peephole, the installation provides stickers design to provide information on how to protect your rights in case of an immigration raid.
This installation was originally created for the exhibition "Faces, Spaces, and Genres – A Web of Intersections" displayed at the Juan R. Fuentes art gallery, part of Accion Latina, an organization dedicated to promote cultural arts, community media, and civic engagement as a way of building healthy and empowered Latino communities.
